Requirements
Thank you for your interest in joining our critique group The Passionate Critters.
We are a small supportive group of intermediate to advanced romance writers on the bumpy road to publication. Developing a thick skin and being able to criticize another’s work in a straightforward but non-harsh manner is not always easy and finding the right group is sometimes harder.
In order to have your work critiqued you will need to also critique chapters submitted by our other members. We are a writing support and craft network - sharing information about the industry, the market and agents/editors and you will not benefit without frequent participation. Through hands on workshops and research using all the tools the web has to offer - we try to strengthen our writing every day. This is a tough business, but there is no need to feel alone.
What we look for in a new member:
We are looking for strong writers with the ability to accept critiques that can sometimes be filled with constructive criticisms. If you think you are either above a critique from fellow members or think you may not be able to handle an honest critique of your “baby” at this time, this group WILL NOT be for you.
We are looking for writers that have completed AT LEAST one entire manuscript or novella.
We are looking for writers that consistently WRITE. Participation in this group means you are producing material on a consistent basis and are actively in search of the publishing brass ring! All writers go through dry-spells, but if you produce no new work within any six-month period, you will be asked to take a leave from the group.
