Love it! I realized a long time ago, I am who I am and I shouldn't "make" myself behave the way others "think" I should. I'll never be a plotter with a fully functional storyboard. I'll never be the person who goes to bed by ten and gets up at 6.

Nice Deb! I'm not motivated well, not by threat or even prize. *eyeroll*
But, this first month of 212 a day has made me realize that I just need to sit down and do again. Success is possible for me–in big numbers with a lot of stress or with smaller numbers and less stress.
I like less stress, but I'm really pleased that my deadline was made, too. LOL Maybe that's what I need…deadlines. Not exactly the same as goals because it's someone else instigating it. Hmmm.

I LOVE this, Deb! I've tried to motivate myself with the word goals, but they often get tossed because of our chaotic life. Then I get discouraged. With everything going on right now…I need to write. My inner turtle is crying for attention. My goal is getting words down every single day. Slow and steady. But consistent.

I wanted to be a nun at one point. LOL That didn't work out for me.
And though I loved to read, I never really thought about writing when I was younger. Now, it's my main focus. And it is an art. Isn't it that a picture is worth a thousand words? Sooo, In a short story, I've created approximately 20 pictures.

I'm with you! I've narrowed down my goals this year to simple ones – spend more time with the family, make more healthy choices and write 212 words everyday. Small goals that I know I can achieve. (1) step away from the computer and interact with the family. (2) choose the piece of fruit over the muffin for breakfast, take the stairs or park in the back of the parking lot at work and (3) 212 words is not even a whole page…I CAN do that and not feel stressed about it. YAY
And to go with Bethanne's coffee – I've got the chocolate – any way you like it
