…and yes, I’m talking about the weather.
I wonder if Someone is preparing me for my coming move to Georgia. The weather up here in the midwest STINKS! It’s too hot! I’m ready to move to Alaska!
A gal mentioned on facebook that I would love Georgia and that once you go South, you never want to leave. But I’m having serious doubts about that. LOL
So tell me, where are you from? Is it hot where you are? Do you bask in the heat and love every drip of sweat that pours from your body? Or are you like me and want to get your favorite jeans on and your comfortable sweatshirt?
Oh! I can’t wait!!! My boots, my sweaters, jackets and jeans. Heck yeah, it’s going to be a good day when temperatures drop below 80 again.

Let me start by saying, I have had the slowest month for writing in the history of writing! Success comes in many colors… mine is the color of shame.
I have successfully ignored my writing for long enough!!!
So, come in, sit with me while I procrastinate and brag about how much you are doing in your push to become the next best-selling author.
Me? I’m sloooowly working through edits and revisions on a story called Spring Leave for a publisher called The Wild Rose Press.
You can totally beat that…

I’m having a contest over on my own blog, Romance in Writing. Come on over and tell me a Love Story. I want to hear how you met your sweetheart. Were you friends first? Or did you fall madly in love and learn that friendship is what makes it last?
I’m going to draw one lucky winner of a GOODIE BAG from those who post a comment.
Have a great week!
Enjoy the spring.

With all the talk about weddings, I've been thrust into ROMANCE mode. It's a good thing for romance writers… I remember the day when a good novel ended with a wedding or wedding to come.
Maybe things have changed but I think the bottom line is the same… LOVE. We're all still looking for love. [and yes, looking for love in all the wrong places IS running through my head right now]
When I see pictures of the royal wedding, my sentimental side gets a tear in her eye. I can't help it. They look so happy and in love. And I know, that if they love even half as much as my husband and I, they have a fighting chance.
It makes me want to write a fairytale story….
hmmm.

What do you do when the kids have an extra day for the weekend?
ROAD TRIP!
I'm off to Michigan to visit my sisters and a few friends. There's nothing better than a break from the monotony to spark something in my brain. Just a spark, that's all I'm asking! My brain is dried tinder… One spark and it'll go up in flame.
Hmm. Maybe I'd rather it be a sponge. Okay! Yes. Visiting my sisters will rejuvenating as a nice hot, relaxing bath. I'm going to soak up ideas.
Well, whichever… I'm there! Hasta la vista, baby!

I think I would like to name a character February. She would be a vicious bitch, coldhearted and icy. Oh wait, no. That's the weather. Nevermind.
While my crit partners are just getting into writing a book in three months. I would love to have joined them. I've done it before…only in less time. Seriously, with a plan, it can be done, yes?! YES! Perhaps while they write, I will plot so that in another month or so, when I'm into this new groove of mine, I can do this as well.
All it takes is determination and persistence and… some quiet time.

Hey, all! Happy Monday!
I'm SO excited to be hosting such a special author on my personal blog today!
In case you didn't know, the one and only Patti Lacy is the author of An Irishwoman's Tale and What the Bayou Saw, both Foreword Magazine Book of the Year finalists. (In addition to being such a talented writer, Patti just so happens to be THE nicest woman on the Internet)
Her third novel The Rhythm of Secrets was just released and to some wonderful reviews.
So I asked Patti to stop by my BLOG and talk about her new book, which she will be giving away to some lucky commenter!

Stop by my blog and comment to win!
Jennifer fancies herself a more prolific writer than she really is and has an unnatural tendency to use words like "fancies" and "prolific" when describing herself. Please feel free to check out her ebook, The Role of a Lifetime from Samhain Publishing and her recent Avalon romance Sunny Days for Sam--where she promises she didn't use either of those words in her stories.
