About The Passionate Critters
Whatever direction your romance novel is headed, you don’t always have to travel alone.
Are you “not new” to the romance writing world, but looking for a small romance writing critique group? In our relaxed friendly atmsophere we freely exchange honest critiques, helpful advice and industry news collected from all over the web.
If you have a postive attitude, are looking for a place to get honest feedback and can offer the same, and are willing to leave any fragile egos at the door - we might be the place for you. Please be aware that we frequently brainstorm and engage in industry and writing craft discussions, this is not the place for you if you are only interested in having your own work critiqued and don’t plan on putting in the effort to get to know fellow members.
We take the romance writing craft very seriously, and strive everyday to further our knowledge of the craft. NO LURKERS ALLOWED.
We welcome all romance genres from sweet to erotic, from historical to the paranormal, contemporary, suspense and category romance. We approach all writing with the respect it deserves and strive never to mess with an authors voice or unique style. We believe we provide an environment where every writer is free to grow and explore their own abilities at their own pace. We stand up and cheer for members successes as well as provide cyber-shoulders for the rejections along the path toward publication.
We believe all of our members have writing strengths and weaknesses. As a member of this group, you will be expected to share your strengths with others. We offer writing craft “theme” workshops - that are given by members who feel they excel in that particular area and can help the group. We also participate in writing events found around the web and have support areas to help you track your progress. We sometimes welcome guest speakers on subjects that may be beneficial to the members.
We are a forum based - members only group.
We limit our membership to 12 and new members are voted into the group by our members. Please be prepared to submit a sample of your writing for our review.
Interested? Please review both our Requirements and Rules before applying.
