I read and write romance just for that reason – the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing people deserve that happily ever after – even when life sucks or looks pretty darn bleak. It makes us more optimistic in what's out there – it makes you see the brighter side to bad times.

Perfect post! I agree. I read romance because I want to see how life can suck and still get the HEA. I enjoy writing romance because I can manipulate the HEA.
