The End — Now what?

Here I am, having typed "THE END" about 20 minutes ago…
I should be ecstatic. I should be on a total high.
Yeah.
I’m completely lost now.
I can’t quite sit down and read through all of the manuscript yet, I can’t quite get started on editing it (Which will look very much like the page above…) and I want to yell it off the rooftops.
If only the neighbors weren’t asleep.
My better half is out, working (It’s midnight, he should be home soon), so I can’t tell him, either.
Seriously though. What do YOU do, when you’ve finished the book?
(Aside from starting the 2nd Draft!)

You GO GIRL! I’m so proud of you!
When I finish a book, I take a few days to just sit on it, enjoy the freedom and celebrate.
So…uh…you gonna send it out to anyone? ;oD

Me? I take a nap. I read a few books. And, I clean! Seriously. All that laundry, those dustbunnies, the sticky spots on the kitchen floor…
By the time the hampers are empty, the dressers and closets are full, the floors and surfaces are shiny and the house smells like bleach, I’m ready to start the second draft.
CONGRATULATIONS!

YAY you!!!!! Have a drink and toast to getting to “the end” and living to tell about it…just kidding
Let it sit for a few days – then take a look. In the meantime, do something nice for yourself- you deserve it!

Woo-hoo!!
I want to scream with joy when I write “the end”! But I actually just treat myself to some books and reading time for at least a week before I begin editing. Ho-hum. I’m boring.
