Every now and then I set myself writing prompts.
So I figured I’ll set one here:
Your character is waiting for a bus, when a car pulls up next to her and she’s yanked inside.
Now write it.
Post in a comment, and no more than 500 words.
Silke writes paranormal romance, and knows a thing or two about things going bump in the night. Although it is usually her, creeping to the kitchen at O' Dawn Thirty to score another cup of coffee.
She grew up in Germany, but her home of choice is in the UK, where she lives with her partner on the outskirts of London.
Her first book Smitten is now available from Decadent Publishing.

“Oh for Christ’s sake, Max. Do you have to be so dramatic?” Kallie tried to tug the tail of her coat out of the car door. With her luck, enough of it was trapped to be dragging on the street. She clicked her tongue.
“Dramatic, sch-matic. I didn’t have time to wait for you to get to work by bus. I needed to talk to you, now.” Her boss pulled back out into traffic without looking. Kallie heard the squeal of brakes behind them, but Max didn’t respond. Of course not. He was Max on a Mission. Other people’s near accidents didn’t fit in with his plans.
“Max. One word. Cell phones.”
“That’s two words. And what I have to say I have to say in person.”
Kallie gave up on the coat and turned her attention to the man annoying her.
There was nothing like a little Max in the morning. With his dark hair, dark eyes and model-chiseled features, he was a great start to the day. Until he started talking. Then you needed coffee. “Okay. Speak. And then stop by Starbucks. I need a latte.”
“You might need more than that.” He downshifted and slid in behind a taxi. “Kallie Dushayne. I need you to marry me.”
How’s that?

I used to do prompts ALOT, then I kind of got out of it. I did one last week for the Harlequin writing challenge on their forum. Just found it by chance and thought, hey! this’ll be fun.
Only it was slightly harder than I had anticipated…probably because I’m so out of practice.
